SD Guthrie International is the downstream arm of SD Guthrie, which produces approximately 12% of the world's certified sustainable palm oil. Most of our palm oil comes from the SD Guthrie group's own plantations and mills. In 2025, all fresh fruit bunches processed in SD Guthrie-owned mills were traceable to the plantation. With Crosscheck, our open-access online tool, anyone can trace our Malaysian supply down to mill level.
This means you can check the origin of our palm oil and ensure it comes from sustainable sources. This reduces the risk of false sustainability claims.
In 2025, 100% of SD Guthrie's own operations and 89% of palm-based raw materials across the group's supply chain were assessed as deforestation-free under our No Deforestation, No Peat, No Exploitation (NDPE) commitments. We determine supply chain status through independent supplier assessments.
We supply RSPO-certified palm oil under the Segregated and Mass Balance supply chain model(s). If you need a specific origin or supply chain model, contact us, and we will confirm what we can provide.
Sourcing from suppliers with clear environmental and social standards can help you avoid future risks and costs. If a supplier is linked to deforestation or labor abuses, its customers can suffer reputational damage and lose buyers who care about these issues. The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) applies to large and medium operators from 30 December 2026, and to micro and small enterprises from 30 June 2027. Operators placing palm oil on the EU market must carry out due diligence to show it is deforestation-free and legally produced. We have developed supply chains designed to meet EUDR requirements from our operations in Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, and the Solomon Islands. Due diligence remains each operator's responsibility. We provide geolocation data and supply chain documentation for the palm oil we supply to support your due diligence.

Certified sustainable palm oil (CSPO) is produced in line with the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) Principles & Criteria, and independent certification bodies audit compliance.
The standard covers environmental requirements, such as no deforestation, no new planting on peat, and protection of High Conservation Value and High Carbon Stock areas; verify against the current P&C version. It also covers social requirements, including living wage, fair working conditions, non-discrimination, freedom of association, responsible recruitment, and protection of vulnerable workers. The updated RSPO P&C 2024 takes effect in 2026 and strengthens requirements for labor rights due diligence.
Our Human Rights Charter, published in 2017, applies to all SD Guthrie operations, including plantations, mills, and downstream activities. It covers all categories of workers, whether permanent, contract, or migrant, as well as our suppliers, contractors, and business partners. It is aligned with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and relevant ILO conventions.

Smallholders supplied around 15% of the fresh fruit bunches processed in SD Guthrie mills in 2025. By the end of 2025, 37,793 smallholders had taken part in our support programs, towards our target of 50,000 by 2035. We publish progress in our Sustainability Report.
Our programs train smallholders in good agricultural practices, provide soil testing and quality seedlings, and support them towards certification schemes such as RSPO. In Malaysia, we run seedling and farm diversification programs with Solidaridad and Colgate-Palmolive. In Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands, certified smallholders take part in the RSPO Smallholder Premium Program
In 2025, the SD Guthrie group sourced from 38,879 smallholders, 18,409 of them RSPO-certified. These include 17,229 RSPO-certified independent smallholders in Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.
